Note: This is NOT a Cola City event.
Outdoor learning spaces benefit water quality and wildlife habitat and provide meaningful outdoor learning opportunities for teachers and their K–12 students.
In this workshop, participants will hear directly from elementary through high school educators who have created outdoor learning spaces at their schools, and from Stroud Center education staff. They will discuss the process of creating outdoor learning spaces, from design and building to lesson implementation.
Presenters will also share tips on how to get started, how to find funding, what design tools to use, and how to successfully communicate with key staff in the district.
Resources and a recording of the webinar will be shared after the workshop with all registrants.
- When: Wednesday, March 6, 2024, 4–6 p.m. EST.
- Where: Online via Zoom. The connection link will be emailed prior to the event, and a recording of the webinar will be sent to participants.
- Audience: This online session is open to all audiences, but it is especially supportive to homeschool providers, classroom teachers, and nonformal environmental educators. Two hours of Act 48 are available for Pennsylvania Certified Teachers. A certificate of participation will be provided upon request.
- Cost: $10. Submit the registration form and then make the payment.
