Attention All High Schoolers who are ready to explore exciting career paths and gain hands-on experience. Join us for an engaging Career Day, specially designed for homeschool students and parent-educators! This event is packed with interactive workshops, expert advice, and real-world activities that will help you discover your passions and shape your future.

  • Vendor Hall: Resources and programs that offer on-going opportunities and information about Scholarships, Advisors/Consultants, Educational Classes and Clubs, Support and Networking. And lots more!
  • Workshops: A full day scheduled with hands-on, interactive experiences geared for student participants. Featured Workshop presented by Be Pro Be Proud
  • Digital Grab Bag: Free resources to take home and continue your career explorations.

Featured Mobile Workforce Workshop

Our Featured Workshop is Be Pro, Be Proud: Exploring Trade Skills and Careers. This traveling workshop is leading the movement to bring a new generation of pride, progress & professionals to South Carolina’s skilled workforce. Student Participants (ages 13-18) will explore some of South Carolina’s innovative, in-demand professions. We are so excited to offer this amazing opportunity to the homeschool community!

The best opportunity to reach those who will make up the skilled workforce of the future is to bring the opportunity to them. This mobile Workforce Workshop provides hands-on experience with skilled professions while showing the jobs in depth to a live audience. Our tour stop date is Thursday, February 6 at Cornerstone Presbyterian Church, 5637 Bush River Rd, Columbia, SC 29212

Student Participants: $25/participant

Students 8th-12th grade (ages 13-18) Registration includes: the Mobile Workforce Workshop (at designated time slot), a full-day of workshop presentations to choose from, plus explore the vendor hall for networking and resources. $25. Bring your own lunch or pre-order boxed lunch. Click HERE to reserve your space

Parent-Educators: Various Options $25/$15/Free

Parent registration is included in the student participant registration form. Here’s the various options:

  • Full Participant: Parents may attend the workshops with the student participant for the $25 registration fee
  • Partial Participant: Space is limited for the Workforce Workshop. Parents may opt-out of that workshop, to do the other workshops and vendor hall for $15.
  • Volunteer: Parents who wish to stay on-site, but not attend the workshops–please consider volunteering to assist with implementing this amazing event.
  • Drop-off by special request: Parents who have younger siblings to supervise or the student participant is old enough to drive–may prefer to go off-site. Contact [email protected] for policies and procedures for permission to drop-off.
Vendors: $50/table space

As a vendor, you’ll have the chance to display your products, services, or resources that can inspire and guide students and parents. Share your expertise with students eager to explore career opportunities and learn directly from professionals in your field. 6-foot table space (includes table only). Doors open for attendees from 9am-3pm. Set up 7:30 am.
