The Scratch Programming, developed at MIT Media Lab, is a free desktop programming language for creating interactive 2D multimedia games, stories, and animations. Scratch is designed to be fun, educational, and easy to learn. The Scratch programs are developed by dragging blocks from the block palette and attaching them to other blocks like a jigsaw puzzle that create scripts. This method of programming (building code with blocks) is referred to as “drag-and-drop programming.”
