Royal Scholars would like you to join us at the SC Train Museum for a fun and enriching homeschool trip. Excursions on the Rockton & Rion are a ten-mile round trip between the two communities. During the 1 1/2 hour journey the train travels through pine forests and farm fields passing the remains of once active sharecropper cabins and the last steam era water tank standing track side in South Carolina. Other highlights of the excursion include traveling through 1/4 mile long granite cut and riding between historic freight cars and the railroad’s maintenance-of-way equipment.

Museum requires masks per CDC recommendations.

After our train ride we will enjoy a picnic lunch so don’t forget to bring your lunch.
The cost: $11.50 per adult $8.50 per student (12 and under) 2 and under free
