“Seeing the Forest for the Trees” webinar along Congaree Creek and the Congaree River Basin. There are many things that Congaree National Park and the 12,000 Year History Park have in common. For example, both parks lie in the Congaree River Basin. A variety of forest communities are represented across the landscape, with dominant tree species ranging from upland pines along the elevated bluffs to bottomland species such as bald cypress and water tupelo within the floodplain.
